our latest updates

Dear ADENA Partners, this time we would like to share a case study from a prestigious Colombian College of Higher Administration Studies known as CESA. Thanks to our partner Integración AV, the college equipped several classrooms with complete sets of AREC Media Capture Systems. Learn how the college utilizes our products below.

CESA is ranked as one of the top universities in Colombia, and a very selective one at that, with just around 20 to 30% admission rate. It is a trendsetter in the higher education of the country, having many research and student exchange agreements in place with other institutions and attracting students from all over the world. The college heavily relies on AV technology to provide the best quality of education possible to its students.

However, the original AV equipment present in the college required an update for a number of reasons. Teachers had to stand in a very small area to be properly captured by the cameras, which took away from the liveliness of their classes. Remote students also struggled, since they did not have a convenient way of attending classes remotely. Thus, CESA started looking for a system that could alleviate these problems and integrate well with other audiovisual technologies present in their lecture halls. With the help of Integración AV, they found AREC Media Capture System.

CESA updated a total of 28 classes with AREC Media Stations LS-300, CI-21H Network Cameras, and RADA A-TC01 Auto-Tracking Cameras. LS-300 is a 3-channel model that takes both of these cameras as network sources and arranges them in a mixed layout with an additional computer source. Teachers find it very easy to operate LS-300 thanks to the GUI produced by this station. They can turn on recording and streaming with just one button, completely change their presentation look with themes, and they do not need to worry about making the recordings of lectures visible to students, since these are automatically backed up on the college’s server. Moreover, A-TC01 cameras allow teachers to freely move around the room and engage their students better. The camera’s tracking algorithm makes it certain that the teacher will always remain the camera’s tracking target, regardless of the students in the room. Lastly, CI-21H Network Cameras capture the audience in high quality and ensure that students watching the lecture recordings are not missing a single detail. Apart from the AREC and RADA products, Integración AV also helped CESA with projectors, ceiling speaker systems, displays, wireless content-sharing tools, and a number of other devices that are working perfectly with the Media Capture System.

With the new hardware in place, the college is now properly equipped to reach students from abroad and increase its education quality. Dear ADENA Partners, this time we have a corporate case study from one of our CIS partners Tayle. AREC Media Capture Systems can be used in a variety of settings to great effect, and companies using AREC to create training courses or conduct webinars know that for a fact. One of such companies, Tayle, set up online business training courses available to all titled “BeGuru” and used AREC solutions to record them.

ree

Founded in 1992, Tayle is amongst the first IT companies to appear in the CIS region. Starting as a system integrator, the company gradually transformed into a distributor and manufacturer of its own brands. These past decades of experience working in all market levels gave Tayle's management team a unique understanding of business processes which they are offering in online business classes called “BeGuru”. To make sure that they can effectively connect with companies from all over the region, Tayle relied on Zoom video conferencing solutions. However, the quality and user experience of software-generated recording was not satisfactory, and so AREC Media Station was used to upgrade the whole system.

Tayle chose LS-300 for its ability to mix and record 3 video sources at the same time. With this model Tayle’s team mixed and used two cameras and computer slides simultaneously, switching camera angles for a more visually-striking effect. Another key LS-300 advantage, simplicity of control, proved very useful to Tayle’s team as they are able to switch between preset combinations of video sources, overlays, and backgrounds. The team prefers using AREC’s free software application for that, but other options, such as interactive GUI, control panels, mobile devices, cloud-based systems and more can be used to operate the station.

Tayle’s experience once again showed that AREC Media Stations excel when it comes to recording material in a user-friendly way. Is your organization also looking to improve the systems running your webinars? Contact us at a-dena.com and we will be happy to assist you.

Dear ADENA Partners, we are excited to share with you a case study from the education sector. Our partner STEPLine successfully renovated classrooms of Kunaev Academy and equipped them with AREC Lecture Capture and Auto-Tracking PTZ cameras. The academy is now able to record lectures for students to recap and stream to a local server for the purposes of hybrid education.

ree

Kunaev Eurasian Law Academy was established soon after the declaration of independence of Kazakhstan and rapidly came to the forefront of jurisprudence and legal education. While it started out as a law institute, in recent years the academy also focused on business education, offering courses to future economists, accountants, managers and entrepreneurs. To make sure that the business education provided by Kunaev Academy is just as valued as that of its other departments, the academy decided to build the most modern AV environment for education. To this end our partner STEPLine designed a solution that involves interactive displays, audio systems, video matrixes, as well as AREC Media Stations and Auto-Tracking Cameras.

ree

To mix, record, and stream computer content and two cameras, Kunaev Academy uses AREC LS-300 Media Station - a rack-mounted model capable of recording 3 Full HD sources simultaneously. Lecturers use an LG Touch Display to make notes and display slides which are then recorded by the LS-300 and mixed together with the IR auto-tracking camera CI-T25H and static wide-angle network camera CI-303. The tracking camera follows the lecturer’s movements and adjusts zoom automatically to get the perfect shot, whereas the static camera CI-303 shows students attending in person. The computer image is duplicated on a display in the middle of the room, making sure that all students can see slides clearly, whereas another display shows the image from the tracking camera. An LD wireless microphone system is used to record the teacher's voice and additional microphones are passed to students asking questions. Lastly, an AUDAC system makes sure that all audio in the room is loud and clear regardless of where any student sits.

ree

While they are only starting to use the equipment, Kunaev Academy already found AREC’s solutions to be very easy to use - all the teacher needs to do when starting a class is to press a button to record and stream the session to their private server. It now joins our long list of higher education institutions solving their lecture capture and hybrid education needs with AREC.
