AREC devices can be updated in a number of ways - we covered some of them before, such as the USB update method. However, all of these methods can only update one station at a time. In order to provide the best user experience, our team developed a new tool for batch firmware updating called Station Firmware Update Manager. The tool doesn’t need to be installed and is simple to use - just run it, add the Media Stations that you’d like to update, input credentials, then select the firmware file and start updating. In the meantime, the tool will show all the relevant information, such as your model, current firmware version, and device status. Updating stations’ FW has never been easier! Want to know more about the different tools from AREC? Contact us via a-dena.com and we will be happy to provide you with more information.
our latest updates
Dear ADENA Partners, we are happy to inform you that the 2.9 FW version update is now live and available to download from our website.
The main features you will find in this update are:
Compact Layout Editor built inside the Online Director web interface. With it you can now create a new recording and streaming layout straight from a theme - check this video out for more details.
Camera control to AREC GUI. You are now able to select any of your currently used sources and adjust their PTZ and presets right from the display using touch input or a connected computer mouse.
Subtitle editor in the Online Director web interface. You can position a text box overlay in your mixed video and input text live in your recording and streaming sessions.
You can check out these new features, along with a few quality of life improvements like scheduled power on/off by downloading the 2.9 FW (or 184.108.40.206 for LS-860) version from our website here at www.a-dena.com/firmware-applications
AREC Media Stations running 2.9 firmware version have an inbuilt Layout Editor interface within the Online Director webpage. This interface allows you to modify existing layouts that you are currently using in Themes. For example, you can adjust the ratio, arrange a source to be in front or behind, or define crop modes. Inbuilt Layout Editor makes it so that for the most part users do not need to download a separate application anymore. That makes our devices more user-friendly than ever - just watch the following video to see how easy it is to use, or contact us at www.a-dena.com to schedule a demonstration.
