Dear ADENA Partners, this time we have a healthcare case study from Italy. Thanks to the efforts of our distributor Prase Media Technologies and system integrator Engineering Solutions S.r.l., a private hospital started using the AREC Media Capture System for internal and external meetings and training.

This hospital is located in the capital of Italy, Rome, and is an entirely private institution. It is a leader in healthcare and technological innovation research, and offers high-level bespoke services, therapy and programmes for its patients. The hospital has multiple centres of excellence for different medical areas, including plastic and robotic surgery, endometriosis treatment, breast surgery, hand and upper limb rehabilitation, and spine and sports traumatology among others. When housing this many disciplines and experts, communication and training become paramount for success, and thus the hospital decided to create a conference and training room that would fully meet its needs.

In the picturesque rooftop conference room, our partners built a complete solution for internal and external meetings and training. AREC LS-2 Media Station is used to combine images coming from two CI-21H PTZ network cameras. The station is very useful in this scenario since it is used as a video mixer with customisable layouts, giving the staff the ability to present computer content with cameras, only cameras, use picture-in-picture, side-by-side, and other modes, and output a different layout on the second display. What’s more, AREC cameras come with inbuilt tally lights that turn on when recording is in progress, immediately notifying all attendees. The whole system is controlled via a small touchscreen control panel and gives users the ability to start recording, streaming, and to change everything about their image presentation in a matter of one click. The conference room is connected to two surgery rooms thanks to Atlona AV over IP solutions, whereas Shure, Biamp, and Renkus-Heinz products are used for audio processing and control.

With the newly designed and technologically advanced conference room, meeting and training have never been easier for the hospital. Do you have a similar project idea in mind? Contact us at www.a-dena.com and we will be happy to discuss it with you and find the right solution together.

Dear ADENA Partners, this time we are bringing an exciting case study - Nestle in Chile. Thanks to the efforts of our partner Novotic, the company is using a complete AREC solution with Crestron, QSC, and Sennheiser for their new conference room.

Nestle is a global food and drink processing conglomerate with more than 447 factories worldwide. It started working in Chile at the end of the 19th century and recently increased its presence to 7 factories producing more than 1500 different products. With a significant presence comes the need for high-quality, outstanding communication, and so Nestle started looking for solutions for one of their offices in the country. A complete system with AREC, QSC, Sennheiser, and Crestron was offered by our partner Novotic - a solution that was just what Nestle was looking for.

Two PTZ cameras were set up in the meeting room - one to follow the presenter, and one for the public. The local audience is connected with remote attendees using Microsoft Teams. This local audience is using a Sennheiser microphone system, which is connected to a QSC DSP. The latter sends data to a Crestron control processor. Crestron processor switches active cameras on AREC LS-400 Media Station according to the active speaker and triggers associated PTZ presets. The combined and individual images from the local cameras and software videoconferencing are recorded by the Media Station and streamed for internal use by Nestle.

Is your company also looking for solutions that can enhance meetings? Contact us at www.a-dena.com and we will be happy to give you a personal demonstration.

Dear ADENA Partners, this time we would like to share a case study from Denmark accomplished with our distributor UNIT.DK and integrator AVCENTER. Ajour Systems A/S, a market-leading supplier of IT solutions for the facilitation of construction, design, and tender management, upgraded their streaming studio with an AREC LS-200 Media Station.

Managing construction is far from easy. It can take years to progress through all of the process stages and many details can get lost in the meantime. Recognizing this problem, Ajour Systems developed advanced digital solutions that can help minimize the difficulties that organizations face in construction processes. To make sure that these solutions are known and deployed worldwide, the company decided to upscale their marketing production by getting reliable and simple-to-use hardware for streaming. With the advice of our distributor UNIT, they chose AREC LS-200 Media Station.

LS-200 is a 2-channel recording and streaming device that combines the functions of AV switcher, mixer, decoder, and encoder. It is capable of streaming to 2 platforms simultaneously and provides users a variety of controls over their video production. For example, users can use custom backgrounds and overlays, and also save them as theme presets. All of these functions can be called from an interactive GUI and other control options, such as RS-232/TCP control panels, computer software, mobile device interface, and more. To start recording and streaming, the user only needs to press one button via any of the control methods available to them, or simply schedule the event and let the Media Station do it for them when the time comes.

Ajour Systems uses these functions to great effect on its YouTube channel. The company already streamed a series of webinars dedicated to their products in multiple languages with the station (click here to watch them). Increased public reach from streaming to a common CDN platform will certainly inform more companies about the benefits of this company’s software.
