our latest updates

Dear ADENA partners, this time we would like to share a medical case study from Denmark completed with our Danish distributor UNIT.DK. The European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) created a series of educational videos with AREC LS-860, showing just how easy it is to combine medical and regular AV with our systems.

ESSR is an organization that is heavily invested in the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies and methods for the treatment of the musculoskeletal system and its research. To achieve these goals, the organization needed equipment that is capable of mixing both standard AV equipment, such as microphones and cameras and also professional medical devices, including medical scanners and x-ray machines. ESSR chose AREC as its technological partner, and specifically LS-860 Media Station to capture and record AV sources.

LS-860 is a four-channel Media Station that can admit up to 4 video sources via HDMI simultaneously. This unique feature made LS-860 the perfect fit for ESSR’s videos - two of the HDMI sources are used by PTZ cameras that focus on the doctor and their patient, one - by computer slides, and the last one by a Siemens medical scanner. The station not only records these 4 video sources together in a mixed video format but also each one of them independently, making it possible to edit the video later and review each source in detail. Importantly, LS-860 can present these video sources in different layouts and adorn them with custom backgrounds and logos.

ESSR joins the list of organizations relying on AREC to create medical and educational material. Would you like to know how your organization can use AREC solutions? Contact us at www.a-dena.com and we will be happy to assist you.

All AREC stations offer inbuilt preview modes that can be used for various purposes, including setup, PTZ control, recording/streaming control, and more. Most AREC stations work on the FBVLC plugin, which is supported by older versions of Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. However, with a slight change in settings, preview can be seen in modern browsers like Edge and Chrome as well. To enable preview in Edge, click on “Settings”, then proceed to the “Default browser” page and turn on “Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode” option there. Now you can restart the browser and open AREC Media Station’s webpage. Once there, click “More tools” and “Reload in Internet Explorer mode”. You can then log in to the web interface and see preview normally.

To enable preview on Chrome, you will need to install 3rd party extensions. For instance, you can try IE Tab - it is a free to use plugin that is very easy to use. Simply add it to your browser and click on it when on a Media Station’s web page - page will reload with IE mode enabled, letting you see the preview in your browser of choice.

If you do not want to use extensions and applications, consider LS-860 - it works on MJPEG, and thus its preview can be seen in browsers like Chrome and Edge without any tweaks.

Preview on AREC is an essential tool for configuration and directing, and with support of modern browsers, it is even more convenient to use than ever before.
