Connecting video sources to AREC has always been extremely straightforward – and with Barco devices, thanks to their time-tested and award-winning design, it is even more so. Whether you are using the entry-level, presentation-focused C-5 or the premium conferencing model CX-50 2nd gen, the connection process is simple and identical:
Plug an HDMI cable into the ClickShare device’s output and connect it to the AREC Media Station.
Make sure that this HDMI input is selected as a source on the Media Station. You can do this by changing the respective input’s video signal type via the station’s Administrator web page -> Media I/O -> Video Inputs page.
Optionally, connect a display or a projector to the loopthrough output of the Media Station (via HDMI, VGA, or DisplayPort, depending on the station’s model). The loopthrough output ensures the shared content is displayed without compression or processing delays.
And that’s it – you are ready to go! With Barco ClickShare connected, anyone in the room can wirelessly share their device’s content to the Media Station using the ClickShare App, ClickShare Button, or other control options. The Media Station will securely record and back up this content, while also enhancing its accessibility through multi-platform streaming.
