In our previous post we have mentioned that there are a lot of new and interesting features in the latest update for the KS-CC1. One of them is the text-to-speech function. It is available in both the 2.0.0.18 and 2.1.0.4 firmware versions, making it possible to use it with all supported languages.

The text-to-speech function is accessible via the “Subtitle” page of the KS-CC1. To access this page, scan the QR code generated by the station via its GUI output, or manually enter the link “ip address of the KS-CC1/subtitle/”. On the page, there are three control buttons for this function:

Speaker icon: click to enable or disable text-to-speech.
Speed icon: click to change the speed of text-to-speech.
Voice icon: click to change the voice for text-to-speech. Which voices are available depends on the browser, its version, and the device’s operating system.
Like all other AREC firmware updates, this update is free and can be downloaded from our website, www.a-dena.com → “Resources” → “Firmware & Resources” page.
