Dear ADENA Partners, our case study this month describes how AREC transformed the conference room of Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) in Troisdorf, Germany. Thanks to the efforts of our partner, Insolex GmbH, it can now host all kinds of training seminars: onsite, remote, and hybrid. Continue reading to find out how our solutions changed the experience.

DVAG is a multinational financial services and consultancy company with offices throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. To modernise its Troisdorf office, the company wanted a versatile conference room suitable for all kinds of events. Previously, the room only included basic AV equipment and lacked support for multi-channel recording, streaming, and automation, forcing presenters to focus on AV operation during meetings. To solve this, Insolex GmbH built the solution around the AREC Media Capture System

At the heart of this solution is the LS-410 Media Station, a four-channel lecture capture device responsible for capturing, mixing, recording, and streaming all audio and video content in the room from the CI-T21H IR tracking network camera, Biamp Vidi 250 camera, presenter’s computer, and a Sonance audio system. The station combines this content into a professional-looking mixed video complete with user-created graphics and layouts. The resulting video does not require post-editing and is ready for immediate sharing.

In addition, multiple network and physical outputs of the LS-410 are used to deliver the same viewing experience across all platforms. In the conference room, one of the loopthrough outputs is connected to the Philips interactive display, showing computer content to all onsite attendees. Another output is connected to an A-BR02 RADA HDMI-to-USB Bridge. This device converts the station’s output into USB and presents it as a webcam source for conferencing applications. As a result, participants joining through Teams, Zoom, or other conferencing applications enjoy the same viewing experience as those physically present in the room. At the same time, through its network output, the station streams mixed video via RTMP/RTMPS and SRT to streaming platforms of the user’s choice, making every event accessible worldwide.

In addition, the solution greatly simplified AV operation. Through the LS-410 graphical user interface, presenters can quickly control layouts, graphics, cameras, recording, and streaming settings. The system can also automatically start and stop recording based on connected calendar events. Camera operation is fully automated as well, thanks to the CI-T21H IR tracking camera and AM-600 IR positioner, which keep presenters in focus while allowing complete freedom of movement.

The solution installed by our partner fulfilled all of DVAG’s objectives and elevated the quality of their meetings to a new level. Reflecting on the practical benefits of the installation, Head of Office Mr Babic said: “As the head of office and the leading coach of our group in Deutsche Vermögensberatung, I am hosting training sessions almost every week. Previously, this required a lot of preparation, equipment checking, and assistance. Now, however, it is much easier: I simply turn on the system and fully focus on the training. The camera follows me by itself, the audio remains stable, and the recordings are reliable. What is particularly important is that we can connect remote participants and use previously recorded material. That significantly increased the efficiency of our training programme."
