Introduction to the web interface of AREC Media Stations
In this lesson we explore the basics of AREC Media Stations' web interfaces.

Every AREC Media Station features a web interface. On the current AREC Media Stations (e.g. LS-210, LS-310, LS-410) it consists of three pages:
Administrator
Online Director
Video Manager
You can access all of these pages by entering either the WAN or the LAN IP address of your Media Station. By default, the WAN port is in DHCP mode, and so it will acquire an IP address automatically from the connected network, whereas on the LAN port, the default IP address of all Media Stations is 192.168.11.254. If you are not sure how to access the IP address of the Media Station, we recommend completing Basics Lesson 1 "Changing network on AREC Media Stations and network ports overview" first.
Selecting the language of the user interface

AREC Media Stations’ user interfaces are available in different languages. You can change the language before logging in on any page by clicking the globe icon on the top-right corner of the web page. Simply select the language you need from the list.
"Administrator" page

"Administrator" web page is used to configure your Media Station. You can enter this page to adjust your audio and video inputs and outputs, configure on-screen language, change the display arrangement, recording and streaming settings, storage, backup, automation, network mode, date, time and many other options. Thus, “Administrator” page should be the first page you open after unboxing the Media Station for the first time.
The default user credentials are "admin/admin". This user account has permissions to access all pages, features, and functions of a Media Station.
All features available for configuration through this page are explained in the following ADENAcademy lessons.
"Online Director" page

“Online Director” web page is used for controlling, monitoring, and adjusting recording and streaming processes on the go. To log in, either use the Online Director account credentials (director/director by default) or the Administrator's. Note that the Director account also has full access to the Video Manager page and limited access to the Administrator page (only able to change recording and streaming settings and check Scheduler events), but can only access either of these pages by first logging in the Online Director page.
When you log in, you are presented with a preview window and layout selection. The preview window shows what your video composition will look like if you start recording or streaming right now, whereas layouts determine how your video sources are positioned in the recording and streaming. You can adjust graphical elements, control audio, take snapshots, and perform other actions on this page. You can switch to the Cameraman mode to see the individual source previews and control network cameras’ PTZ.
To learn more about the functions of this page, take a look at the In-Depth Lesson 1: "Review of the Online Director Page".
"Video Manager" page

“Video Manager” web page serves as a library for all the videos that were recorded on the Media Station. This page allows you to upload, download, watch, edit and remove recordings. To log in, either use the Video Manager account credentials (video/video by default) or the Administrator's. Note that the Video Manager account can only access the Video Manager page.
To learn more about the functions of this page, take a look at the In-Depth Lesson 2: "Review of the Video Manager Page".
That concludes the lesson. You can now answer the questions about this lesson’s material to test your knowledge and watch the linked video before moving on to the next lesson.
After you submit your answers, make sure to click “View Scores” to see if you answered correctly. You will also receive an email on the address you used when starting this lesson with your answers and “View Scores” link.
