Dear ADENA partners, this time we are highlighting how, together with JSP Soluciones, AREC is helping "El Señor de la Misericordia" parish in Monterrey, Mexico to reach their audience remotely.
With quarantine restrictions in place, it is difficult to proceed with religious ceremonies in a traditional way. Thus, in order to celebrate Easter without endangering the general populace, the "Señor de la misericordia" parish started looking for ways to stream online. They first tried streaming with regular cameras, but the parish quickly found out that cameras took too much space, and cabling often got in the priest's way. Even more importantly, all cameras needed settings to be set up every time, and it put unnecessary stress and time pressure on the church.
A more convenient and user-friendly solution was required. The parish found it in AREC - specifically, KL-3W Media Station and CI-21HPTZ cameras. KL-3W supports up to 3 video inputs at the same time and can stream to two platforms in Full HD simultaneously. Users can set up different quality for their recording and streaming - thus, to save bandwidth and help viewers with slower Internet speed, The parish is streaming the mass service in HD. CI-21H captures a striking, crisp picture, and can be used with a remote controller and presets for maximum flexibility. These cameras can be connected via network and thanks to their x10 optical zoom, they can be installed further away from their target, solving space and cabling issues.
The combination of these devices allowed the "Señor de la Misericordia" parish to stream Easter celebrations unhindered to great success. You can see their streams yourself here.
